NightCool is our best fabric for cooling sleepwear. Behind it is Kottinu, a performance microfiber made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now breathable cooling pajamas for hot sleepers and night sweats.
The fibre is spun from filaments finer than a human hair. It pulls sweat off your skin, spreads it out, and dries fast, so heat leaves with the moisture. Read the science behind Cool-jams sleepwear.
Most of the line. Cooling pajama sets, cooling nightgowns and nightshirts, plus tops and bottoms you can mix yourself, all in NightCool.
Start with women's cooling sleepwear, or go straight to cooling pajama sets or cooling nightgowns for women.
Yes. Men's sleep shirts, pajama tops and pajama bottoms, all in the same NightCool fabric. Shop men's cooling sleepwear.
Menopause is why most of our customers find us, and NightCool is what we point them to. It cannot stop a hot flash, but it moves the sweat off your skin and dries fast, so a rough moment is less likely to end in a soaked shirt and a sheet change.
You have 30 days from delivery to start a return or exchange. Start at our Returns Center with your order number and the email address you ordered with. For most US addresses you can print a prepaid label right there. Once a label is issued, please post the parcel within 14 days.
Send items back unworn, unwashed and undamaged, in the condition they arrived, free of fragrance and with original tags attached. NightCool is different, see the 30-Night Cool Sleep Trial below.
Two ways to get your money back: store credit at the full price you paid, with no fee, or a refund to your original payment method less a $9.95 admin fee. One fee per return, however many items are in it.
Holiday orders placed in October, November and December can be returned through January 16.
Cooling sleepwear is hard to judge in a fitting room, so judge it in bed instead.
Sleep in your NightCool items. Wash them. If they are still not right, start a return within 30 days of delivery. It covers every NightCool item, on every order you place, and worn and washed is fine.
Choose store credit at the full price you paid with no fee, or a refund to your original payment method less a $9.95 admin fee. Trial returns come back as credit or a refund rather than an exchange, so if you simply want a different size or colour, use a standard exchange instead.
Please tell us if you slept in it. It does not change what you get back or what it costs. It just tells our warehouse to sanitise the item and donate it rather than put it back on the shelf.
Start at our Returns Center with your order number and the email address you ordered with, and choose the size or colour you would like instead. Same 30 day window, and exchanges are free. There is no admin fee on an exchange. A gift with no order number, an order from outside the US, or anything with a defect: email [email protected].
We cannot hold the replacement while your parcel is in transit, so if your size sells out on the way we will offer store credit or a refund instead. If the new item costs more or less than the old one, we will settle the difference with you before it ships.
Choose store credit at the full price you paid, with no fee, or a refund to your original payment method less a $9.95 admin fee.
Once your return reaches our warehouse, please allow up to 14 days for us to process it. Refunds go back to your original payment method, and your bank normally takes another 2 to 5 business days to show it, sometimes up to 10.
Original shipping charges are not refunded. If you paid part of the order with store credit, that part comes back to you as store credit, so you never lose it.
Usually yes, but not always. For some issues, like a defect or a mistake on our side, we may ask you to keep or donate the item rather than send it back. That call only ever comes from us, so please wait to hear before paying for any shipping yourself. If we say "no need to return it," that is final and it will not cost you anything.
Spotted a defect? Email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we will make it right. You are never charged the admin fee on a defective item.
Our DayBasics collection is being retired, so every DayBasics item is final sale. Anything else that is final sale says so on its own product page. If the page does not say it, the normal 30 day terms apply.
Final sale means no returns, no refunds, no exchanges and no price adjustments. This applies to orders placed on or after 18 August 2026.
Final sale does not cover defects. If a final sale item arrives damaged, email us and we will make it right, same as anything else. NightCool is not final sale, and every NightCool item is covered by the 30-Night Cool Sleep Trial.
Yes. Email [email protected] with the order number, or the gift-giver's name and your shipping address, and we will arrange an exchange or store credit without spoiling any surprises. Holiday gifts have until January 16.
Our sleepwear is cut for a relaxed, drapey fit, and most customers find it runs generous. If you are between sizes, or you prefer a closer fit, size down.
There is a size chart on every product page. It lists garment measurements rather than body measurements, so the easiest check is to compare it against a piece you already own and like.
Lengths vary by style and are listed on each product page, under the size chart.
If you want a shorter or longer version in the same fabric, the "style" links on the product page show that fabric in other cuts. If none of them is quite right, ask us and we will point you to the closest match.
Enter your email under "notify me" on the product page and we will tell you when it is back.
Core NightCool styles restock regularly. Clearance items often do not come back at all, so if one is in stock and you want it, it is worth not waiting.
NightCool is our original performance cooling fabric, the one long-time customers know, now used across the whole line and finally wearing its own name. It is moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and designed to move heat away from your skin.
New production runs have "NightCool" printed on the garment, so there is no more guessing about which fabric you have. Curious how it works? Read the science behind Cool-jams sleepwear.
Kottinu is the technical fabric behind every NightCool piece. It is an engineered polyester microfiber built for moisture management rather than for looks, and it was originally developed for demanding professional uses: firefighter base layers worn under turnout gear, and medical scrubs that have to survive industrial laundering shift after shift.
It feels like soft, lightweight cotton, but it behaves like a performance fabric. It pulls perspiration off your skin, spreads it across a wide surface area, and dries quickly, carrying body heat away with the moisture.
The knit we use today is a light 159 gsm. For the full technical explanation, read the science behind Cool-jams sleepwear.
MST stands for moisture transference system, and it is the reason the fabric moves sweat rather than holding onto it.
Kottinu is spun from filaments finer than a human hair, several twisted together into a single thread. That creates far more surface area for moisture to travel along, and the knit pattern is chosen to speed that movement up.
It works in three steps. Moisture is drawn off the skin into the fabric. It spreads out across the outer surface. Open air then evaporates it. Because heat leaves along with the moisture, the fabric helps flatten the temperature swings that wake you up.
Bact-Out is the antibacterial finish applied to Kottinu. It inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria on the fabric, which is what helps a set stay fresh between washes.
To be clear about what it is and is not: Bact-Out is there to protect the fabric and control odor. It is not a health or hygiene product, and we make no claim that it protects you from germs or illness.
Because the fibre is a microfiber, spun far finer than standard polyester yarn, and knitted for a soft hand rather than a slick one. Our own assessment of the current fabric is that the softness is comparable to cotton, without the sticky hand-feel of many synthetic wicking fabrics. That cotton feel was the whole design brief.
No. The wicking comes from the fibre and the knit structure, not from a coating on the surface, so there is nothing to rinse away.
What does interfere with it is fabric softener and dryer sheets. They leave a film that coats the fibres and blocks moisture transport. If softener has got in, re-wash in clear water and the wicking comes back. See the washing question below.
NightCool is the performance cooling fabric. Choose it for night sweats, hot flashes, and running warm at night.
DayBasics is our soft everyday layering fabric. It is comfortable, but it is not engineered for cooling.
If cooling is why you are here, look for NightCool in the product name.
Check the care label. Made in Thailand or Taiwan is the cooling fabric, now called NightCool. Made in China is the everyday fabric, now called DayBasics.
If a piece you loved stopped feeling right, this is the first thing to check. And if a cooling-fabric piece is not performing the way it should, email [email protected]. We stand behind it.
Machine wash in cool or warm water on a gentle cycle. Hang to dry, or tumble dry on low and take it out before it is completely dry.
Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets. They leave a film that coats the fibres and blocks the wicking. If softener has got in, re-wash in clear water and the wicking comes back.
Orders often ship the same day, so speed matters here. Reply to your order confirmation email, or write to [email protected] with "CHANGE ORDER" and your order number, as soon as you can.
If it has already shipped we cannot redirect it, but you can return or exchange it once it arrives. See the returns section above.
If neither order has shipped yet, contact us straight away and we will try. Once the warehouse has either one, we cannot promise anything.
If we cannot combine them, shipping is free over $120, so a single larger order is usually the simpler approach next time.
Email [email protected] right away with your order number and the correction. Address changes are only possible before the package ships, so treat it as urgent rather than waiting for a reply first.
Free standard shipping on Continental U.S. orders of $120 or more, after discounts, arriving in 5 to 10 business days. Below $120 it is $9.95. Priority is $24.95, 3 to 5 business days, available on any order.
Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories and military addresses: $19.99 flat, whatever the size of your order. Allow 7 to 21 business days. Free shipping and Priority apply to the lower 48 only.
Orders placed Monday to Friday before 12pm PST usually leave our facility the same business day. After 12pm it is the next business day, and weekend orders go out on Monday. You will get a tracking email the moment yours leaves.
Most U.S. orders arrive in 5 to 10 business days.
Tracking can pause for 24 to 48 hours between carrier scans. That is normal and usually means nothing is wrong.
If it says delivered and there is no package, check with household members and neighbours first, then give it 24 hours. Carriers often mark a parcel delivered slightly early.
Still missing? Email [email protected] with your order number and we will make it right.
We ship to the United States and Canada. Canadian orders are a flat CAD $29.99, free on orders of CAD $250 or more. Allow 7 to 14 business days. Ordering from anywhere else? Email [email protected] before you order and we will confirm costs and delivery times. Duties, taxes and import fees are set by Canadian customs, are the recipient's responsibility, and are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
Canadian returns come back on the same 30 day terms, including the sleep trial. You arrange and pay the return shipping, so there is no prepaid label from us and no admin fee taken off your refund. Canadian returns come back as store credit or a refund rather than an exchange.
Not all codes work the same way, so it is worth checking the terms on the one you have.
Bundle savings apply automatically. There is no code to enter. The saving appears in your cart on its own, and it deepens with every set you add. Most discount codes still work on top of it.
With the NightCool set builder, pair any NightCool top with any NightCool bottom, women's or men's, and the saving comes off the bottom. One set saves $10, two sets save $25, three save $40, and four save $60. Nothing has to match, so you can mix styles, sizes and colours across the sets.
The DayBasics set builder works the same way and runs deeper, because that collection is being retired: $25 off one set, $55 off two, $90 off three, and $130 off four. DayBasics nightgowns have a ladder of their own, again with no code, running from $25 off two pieces up to $150 off six or more.
Free shipping offers usually combine. They sit alongside a percentage or dollar discount rather than replacing it.
Single-use codes usually stand alone. A code from an email, a win-back offer or a one-off promotion is normally exclusive, so it will not sit on top of another code.
The checkout applies whatever the code's own terms allow. If two things cannot be combined, you will see it before you pay.
Free-gift promotions add automatically when the qualifying item is in your cart and no other discount code is applied.
If you are inside the promotion window and the gift is missing, email us your order number before the order ships.
Yes. Join the email list for a welcome offer on your first order. It cannot be combined with other promotions, as above.
