The Cool-jams NightCool Gathered Tank Nightgown is a sleeveless cooling nightgown made for night sweats and hot flashes. The softly gathered front skims rather than clings, and the wider tank straps sit comfortably without digging in. It is cut from Kottinu, our proprietary performance sleep fabric, which wicks perspiration off the skin as it forms and dries fast, and an odor-control finish helps the fabric stay fresher between washes. Sleeveless construction means less fabric against you on the warmest nights. In Black, Navy and Merlot, in sizes S to 3X.

Is a cooling nightgown better than pajamas for night sweats?

It comes down to preference. A nightgown has no waistband and less fabric overall, which many women who sleep hot prefer, while pajama sets give more coverage. Both are cut from the same Kottinu fabric here.

How wide are the straps?

They are wider than a standard cami strap and sit close to the shoulder, so they cover more than a spaghetti strap does.

What length is this nightgown?

It falls to around knee level on most wearers. If you want a longer cut, the NightCool Long Tank Gown is the same fabric in a longer length.

What is Kottinu?

Kottinu, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now crafted for hot sleepers and night sweats needing moisture-wicking and cooling pajamas. Soft and smooth with a cotton-like feel, it pulls sweat off your skin, dries fast, carrying body heat away with it.

A Bact-Out finish helps the fabric resist odor, so it stays fresher between washes. Kottinu resists pilling, holds its shape, and machine washes easily.

How to care for Kottinu

  • Machine wash cold or warm with like colors, gentle cycle
  • Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets, they coat the microfibers and can reduce wicking
  • Tumble dry low or hang to dry, Kottinu dries fast
  • No bleach
  • Holds its shape and resists pilling wash after wash
