The Cool-jams NightCool Long Sleeve T-Shirt covers the arms without the heat that usually follows, which is the whole point when you run hot at night but the room is cold. The Kottinu knit is temperature-regulating: it wicks sweat off the skin, dries fast and keeps air moving through the sleeve. An odor-control finish helps the fabric stay fresher between washes. It is a lightweight knit cut relaxed through the body, so it layers under a robe or over a tank without bulk. In Black, Navy and Merlot, in sizes S to 3X.
Why wear long sleeves if I sleep hot?

Is this a top or a nightshirt?

What is Kottinu?
Kottinu, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now crafted for hot sleepers and night sweats needing moisture-wicking and cooling pajamas. Soft and smooth with a cotton-like feel, it pulls sweat off your skin, dries fast, carrying body heat away with it.
A Bact-Out finish helps the fabric resist odor, so it stays fresher between washes. Kottinu resists pilling, holds its shape, and machine washes easily.

What fabric is the NightCool Long Sleeve T-Shirt made from?
It is made with Kottinu fabric, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) that wicks sweat away from the skin and dries fast. The filaments are spun finer than a hair and knitted open, so the fabric stays breathable through the night and feels closer to cotton than to a slick sports fabric. Every NightCool piece is made in Thailand.
How soft is NightCool?
Cotton-soft. Kottinu is a microfiber spun far finer than standard polyester yarn and knitted for a soft hand, so it feels like a favorite cotton tee rather than a slick sports fabric. It does not need breaking in, and it does not stiffen with washing as long as you skip fabric softener.
Is this long sleeve top good for night sweats and hot flashes?
Yes. It is made for night sweats and hot flashes: the sleeves give full coverage on a cold night, and the Kottinu knit moves sweat off your skin and dries fast, so a rough moment is less likely to end in a soaked shirt and a sheet change. It is sleepwear, not a medical treatment, and it cannot stop a hot flash.
Does a long sleeve top sleep cool, or will it make me hotter?

Can I wear it during pregnancy, postpartum or nursing?

Why does it feel like cotton if it is synthetic?
Because the fibre is a microfiber, spun far finer than standard polyester yarn and knitted for a soft hand rather than a slick one. Cotton-level softness without the sticky feel of many synthetic wicking fabrics. That cotton feel was the whole design brief.
How do I wash NightCool, and will the cooling wash out?
Machine wash cold or warm with like colors on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or hang to dry, no bleach. Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets: they coat the microfibers and can reduce wicking, and a re-wash in clear water brings it back. The wicking comes from the fiber and the knit, not a coating, so there is nothing to wash out.
How do I choose my size, and what if it is not right?
Sizes S to 3X. The size chart on this page lists garment measurements laid flat: body length runs 25 inches in S to 29.5 inches in 3X, and sleeve length 22 to 24.5 inches. Does NightCool pill?
No. Kottinu resists pilling and holds its shape wash after wash. It is knitted from continuous filament yarn, which has no short fiber ends to ball up, so the face stays smooth. The one care rule that matters: no fabric softener, because the coating dulls the wicking, not the surface.
