More about the Long Tank Gown

The Cool-jams NightCool Long Tank Gown is a long cooling nightgown for menopausal night sweats and for anyone who wants more coverage without more heat. The breathable Kottinu knit wicks perspiration off the skin and dries fast, and an odor-control finish helps the fabric stay fresher between washes. The sleeveless tank cut keeps fabric off the arms and shoulders, and the longer, straight skirt hangs rather than winding around you as you move. In Black, Navy and Merlot, in sizes S to 3X.

How long is this nightgown?

It is a full-length gown, the longest in the NightCool range and noticeably longer than the knee-length Gathered Tank Nightgown in the same fabric.

Is a long nightgown too warm for night sweats?

Not in this fabric. Length adds coverage, not heat, because Kottinu is a temperature-regulating knit that moves moisture and keeps air flowing.

Does it have a built-in bra?

No, this style has no built-in support. It is cut as a straight sleeveless gown.

What is Kottinu?

Kottinu, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now crafted for hot sleepers and night sweats needing moisture-wicking and cooling pajamas. Soft and smooth with a cotton-like feel, it pulls sweat off your skin, dries fast, carrying body heat away with it.

A Bact-Out finish helps the fabric resist odor, so it stays fresher between washes. Kottinu resists pilling, holds its shape, and machine washes easily.

How to care for Kottinu

Machine wash cold or warm with like colors, gentle cycle
Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets, they coat the microfibers and can reduce wicking
Tumble dry low or hang to dry, Kottinu dries fast

The return of the great long tank gowns!
The material is just like it used to be, sleek and cooling. The scoop neck is actually a scoop again with nice roomy armholes. Thank you, Cool-jams for returning to your roots.

Love the night gown
comfy and supportive, which I like when sleeping too. Thought the supportive cups with a bit of padding would make me look too bodacious for 77 years, but perfect and great to keep cool at night.

My Best Night-time Attire!
I now have three of these gowns! Two (black & navy print) have been with me for at least three years, in & out of the washer & dryer with no problem. I was fine with two gowns, but then I saw the Purple…and just had to have it. Happy to have it. They travel & pack well.
