More about the Scoop T-Shirt

The Cool-jams NightCool Scoop T-Shirt is a short sleeve cooling sleep tee for women who sleep hot. The scoop neckline leaves the throat open and the Kottinu knit wicks perspiration off the skin and dries in minutes, with an odor-control finish that helps the fabric stay fresher between washes. It is cut relaxed through the body so it does not cling, and it is finished like a normal tee, which is why customers wear it for travel as well as sleep. Five colors, in sizes S to 3X.

Yes. It is cut and finished like a normal tee, so plenty of customers wear it for travel and everyday wear as well as sleep.

What bottoms go with it?

Any NightCool bottom: pants, capris, joggers or shorts. The range is sold as separates so you can size each piece.

What is Kottinu fabric?

Kottinu is our proprietary performance sleep fabric, used across the NightCool line. It wicks moisture off the skin as it forms and dries in minutes.

What is Kottinu?

Kottinu, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now crafted for hot sleepers and night sweats needing moisture-wicking and cooling pajamas. Soft and smooth with a cotton-like feel, it pulls sweat off your skin, dries in minutes, carrying body heat away with it.

A Bact-Out finish helps the fabric resist odor, so it stays fresher between washes. Kottinu resists pilling, holds its shape, and machine washes easily.

How to care for Kottinu

Machine wash cold or warm with like colors, gentle cycle
Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets, they coat the microfibers and can reduce wicking
Tumble dry low or hang to dry, Kottinu dries fast
No bleach
Holds its shape and resists pilling wash after wash

Itchy fabric
The fabric was unfortunately too itchy to wear for more than a few minutes, even after washing with a fabric softener. It felt kind of like wool was mixed in, very different from the fabric of a previous sleep shirt I bought from Cool Jams several years ago, which felt less like a cotton and more synthetic but not at all itchy.

This scoop tee is DayBasics, our soft everyday line. The more synthetic feel you remember sounds like our performance fabric, which today is our NightCool line, made with Kottinu. Nice pajamas - bad color.
The pajamas seem fine but don’t be mislead by the color mocha. Definitely not a brown (like you would think).

The smell!!
I already own Cooljams and decided to more. The odor when I opened the package was and is horrible. I washed them three times then soaked in vinegar. I can still smell the chemicals.
I love the products, but the smell is a no go.
