The Cool-jams NightCool Pleated Front Short Sleeve Nightie is made for warm sleepers and warm nights: a short cap of sleeve for a little shoulder coverage, a pleated front that skims the body, and a lighter, shorter cut than our full-length gowns. The Kottinu knit is breathable and dries in minutes, and an odor-control finish helps the fabric stay fresher between washes. It is cut to an above-the-knee length, and the pleat means it drapes away from the body rather than sitting against it. In Black, Navy and Merlot, in sizes S to 3X.
What is the difference between a nightie and a nightgown?
In our range a nightie is the shorter, lighter cut and a nightgown runs longer. Both are one piece and pull on over the head.
Are short sleeves better than sleeveless for sleeping?
Short sleeves stop straps sitting on the shoulder and give a little arm coverage while still leaving the arms free, so it is a good middle option for warm sleepers.
How short is it?
It is cut above the knee, one of the shorter cuts in the NightCool nightgown range. The Long Tank Gown runs full length in the same fabric.

What is Kottinu?
Kottinu, a technical synthetic (engineered polyester microfiber) made for firefighter base layers and medical scrubs, now crafted for hot sleepers and night sweats needing moisture-wicking and cooling pajamas. Soft and smooth with a cotton-like feel, it pulls sweat off your skin, dries in minutes, carrying body heat away with it.
A Bact-Out finish helps the fabric resist odor, so it stays fresher between washes. Kottinu resists pilling, holds its shape, and machine washes easily.
How to care for Kottinu
- Machine wash cold or warm with like colors, gentle cycle
- Skip fabric softener and dryer sheets, they coat the microfibers and can reduce wicking
- Tumble dry low or hang to dry, Kottinu dries fast
- No bleach
- Holds its shape and resists pilling wash after wash
