We already know that things like Cool-jams Wicking Sleepwear Are a great natural remedy for night sweats and hot flashes, but what else can we do? Hot Flashes and Night Sweats

Recent studies tell us that women trained in relaxation therapy were able to reduce not only their night sweats but also reduce other  menopausal symptoms,  in half. Researchers at Linkoping University Hospital in Sweden said healthy women who were seen by their physician for  menopause symptoms occurring at least 50 times a week -- were randomly assigned to two groups.  One group had 10 sessions of group therapy and the other received no treatment at all. The research was conducted using special relaxation therapy, which was based on  muscle relaxation and special breathing techniques. The goal was to teach the women the relaxation therapy so they could practice the treatment at home to help with their menopausal symptoms. Each women participating in the study kept a diary of hot flashes, night sweats and other menopausal symptoms. The study was published in the journal Menopause.

The results indicated that women in the relaxation technique treatment group reduced the number of hot flashes per day from an average of 9.1 to 4.4. The results lasted for at least  three months after the last therapy session. So good news for women looking for another natural hot flash treatment in addition to Cool-jams Wicking Sleepwear.
